Founded in 2006, Amiando offers an innovative online platform in English, French, German and Spanish to organise events, with such features as team blogs, photo sharing and personnalised invitations. To ease the organisation of events, amiando has also launched the first European online tool for a secure, uncomplicated and individual do-it-yourself ticket shop in June 2007. Until now, the company has won numerous awards, including "Top 50 startup in Germany" by German national business magazine 'Wirtschaftswoche', "TOP 100 Finalist 2007" and “TOP 100 Winner 2008” by internet magazine Red Herring and the "Innovators' Pitch" of the federation of information economy, telecommunication and new media (BITKOM). In November 2009, the World Economic Forum selected amiando as a Technology Pioneer 2010.
