Micro inverters for highest solar reliability
at lowest lifetime costs

Spun out from the University of Cambridge, Enecsys has developed high-reliability, cost-effective, high-performance micro-inverters deployed in harsh external environments next to solar PV modules, with lifetimes matching those of the panels. Such Enecsys-enabled solar systems harvest more energy with lower cost, resulting in significant savings over conventional systems. This technology edge holds the potential to cause a disruptive change in the $2.5 billion global inverter market. Wellington Partners led the $10 million Series A round in June 2009, joined by BankInvest New Energy Solutions, a Cleantech-specialised VC located in Copenhagen.

First investment: June 2009
