"We started engaging with VCs merely holding a valuable, but proven technology asset in our hands. Wellington really stood out from the crowd! The team was capable to understand technology leverages and impact and at the same time they shared our belief on it's realistic global potential. Going with them has proven to be the right decision."

The dynamic contextual matching service
Proximic provides a dynamic contextual matching service for advertising networks and publishers. For its partners the company’s technology identifies connections between unstructured data assets such as web pages or user profiles and related ad targeting such as text-ad keywords or display categories.
The Proximic ContextMatch web service enables a better way to target specific remnant environments by identifying relationships on a more dynamic, more precise and more versatile technology basis than other solutions. Combining non-linguistic contextual profiling technology called "Pattern Proximity" with a "Dynamic Category Matching" in which it automatically crowd-sources 100.000s of categories, Proximic enables networks to identify better ad matches across highly granular topical interests. The technologies language independence allows Proximic to uniquely provide it’s services in high-growth markets such as China.
The technology basis and the global approach of the company were major factors for Wellington Partners to invest in the company in April 2007. Today, Proximic is based in Palo Alto, California, and has further offices in Bejing and Munich, where the company was founded in 2001 by Thomas Nitsche and Philipp Pieper.
