Spotify is an online music service offering users the ability to stream music on demand using Spotify’s unique technology. Without having to buy certain tracks, users can get access to an inexhaustible amount of music – from classical to chart – wherever and whenever they want. Spotify aggregates content from right holders and monetizes both through a free ad-funded service and a subscription service. The company was founded in 2006 by Swedish serial entrepreneurs Daniel Ek and Martin Lorentzon.
