Big data for small companies

SumAll plans to bring the full power of business intelligence to small- and medium-sized companies, bridging a huge market gap as most data mining specialists are focusing on the biggest players on the Internet. In November 2011, the company launched a simple to use but highly effective software-as-a-service package for e-commerce merchants and was able to reach more than 3,000 companies within only six months; packages for other target groups will follow.

The SumAll solution captures and archives all transaction data feeds and provides a real-time feed of developments. This data stream allows to analyze peaks in sale or the effect of discounts and to manage a business accordingly. As SumAll works together with thousands of companies, the New York-based start-up is also in a position to provide each client with benchmarking data - a USP in the fast-growing data mining market. The excellent starting position as well as an exceptional team with a proven entrepreneurial track record has convinced Wellington Partners to join a strong investor syndicate (Battery Ventures, General Catalyst Partners, Matrix Partners) in June 2012.

First investment: June 2012
