XING (formerly OpenBC) is a pioneer in social networking software for business
professionals looking to find useful contacts, important information, new
business opportunities, employees, jobs and ideas. The XING network can be
accessed around the world by Internet, mobile phone or PDA. Access is via
subscription. Due to its early profitability, XING has only needed one financing
round to make the company fit for an IPO – and this round was led by
Wellington. In December 2006, the Company became one of the first listed Web 2.0 companies in the world; XING made a successful IPO on Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
