Founded in the US by the creator of the online bank Egg, Zopa was launched in 2005. Zopa is the world’s first online lending and borrowing exchange, where people who want to lend money can meet creditworthy people who want to borrow it, thereby offering lenders and borrowers both value and control. Value – by cutting out the middleman to achieve better rates of interest; and control – by allowing lenders and borrowers to get the rate that’s right for each.
