The efficiency booster for
the healthcare system

Since its establishment in 1996, NoemaLife has developed innovative IT solutions for the storage and management of medical patient data within hospitals and beyond; initially with a focus on the segment of laboratory information systems. With the paradigm shift towards higher efficiency in healthcare systems which has even accelerated due to the global recession 2008/2009, the company has a chance to benefit from its technology leadership. With revenue growth by 53% to €34.4 million in 2008, the time clearly seems to have come for the Italian-German group which meanwhile employs more than 400 people.

NoemaLife was created by a merger of Italian Dianeoma and German GMD, in which Wellington Partners had invested in March 2000. While the German company was a pioneer in the field of electronic patient records, their Italian colleagues had developed cutting-edge solutions for laboratories and hospitals and obtained market leadership in Italy. Thanks to this merger, the company was able complete its product offering and to establish a unique business proposition as a basis for further growth into the multi-billion European healthcare IT market and beyond.

Today, over 100,000 hospital doctors, general practice doctors, nurses and healthcare operators are using NoemaLife solutions every day. The company has already established their IT-based solutions in more than 600 hospitals, covering whole regions which were keen to raise the efficiency of their local healthcare system. Laboratories are using NoemaLife products for more than 600 million tests each year.

In May 2006, NoemaLife was listed on the Italian Stock Exchange. Having the growth potential in mind, Wellington Partners has continuously supported the management in strategic issues. This staying power is now rewarded by the significant revenue growth in 2008 and the accelerated demand of healthcare providers for IT-based solutions to raise efficiency.
