About Rolf
Wellington Partners founder Rolf Christof Dienst has been a leading entrepreneur in the VC industry and Technology sector for over 30 years, playing a key role in shaping the German VC landscape.

At Wellington some of his investments include Immobilien Scout24 (the largest online real estate platform in Germany) sold to Depfa Bank Group, Telcare and eCircle, sold successfully to TA Associates in January 2010.

Rolf now focuses on Wellington's Technology and Life Science fundraising and investor relation activities and sits on the board of some portfolio companies.

Prior to founding Wellington, Rolf was president of the Munich-based Matuschka Group, one of the first German investment banks, for 22 years. During the 1980s, he built long-lasting relationships with leading U.S. VC groups and investors, gaining an invaluable insight at how the American VC model could be adapted to Europe. In 1984 he co-founded TVM (Munich/Boston), one of Germany's first privately held VC firms.

His entrepreneurial initiatives include the foundation of the LMU Entrepreneurship Centre at the Ludwig-Maximilians University of Munich, the largest university in Germany. The main objective of this organisation is to familiarise students and scientists with the concepts of self-employment and entrepreneurship.

From Aril 2007 to April 2009 Rolf was Chairman of the German Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVK). He holds a law degree from the LMU Munich and has been a member of the Munich Bar since 1974. Rolf is married since 1976 and has five children.
