Mohammad Naraghi
Venture Partner
Mohammad Naraghi joined Wellington Partners as a Venture Partner in October 2007. He advises on diagnostics and medical technology. A member the group executive board of OPG, Mohammad is currently responsible for international business and corporate development at this Netherlands-based pharmaceutical trading company. From 2002 to 2007, he had previously headed up global business development operations at Siemens Medical Solutions. During this period, he made major contributions to the strategic development of Siemens’ healthcare business. In addition to a variety of smaller M&A transactions, Mohammad was also responsible for the integration of Bayer Diagnostics and DPC (aggregate 2006 annual sales: US$ > 2.5 billion) following the acquisition of these two diagnostics companies by Siemens, consolidating them into newly established “Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics.” This company has since advanced to become the world market leader in the field of immunodiagnostics and the number two in laboratory diagnostics.
Mohammad earned doctorates in Medicine and Mathematics at the MPI for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen and at the Universities of Halle and Würzburg. Moreover, he also earned a Master of Science in Computation & Neural Systems from the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.
