The most important market for high-tech products and services is still the U.S. We run a base in Palo Alto and spend a lot of time with our portfolio companies in Silicon Valley and beyond. Our well-connected U.S. Venture Partners – all opinion leaders in their respective sectors – help open doors to major players.
They also play an important role in supporting our portfolio companies as they expand their operations into the U.S., which can include building or even relocating their headquarters in this huge market. The entrepreneurs we back can also profit from the vast experience of our investment team in the U.S., where several of us have worked and run businesses prior to becoming part of Wellington.
